The Tay Valley, Scotland

Amidst all the turmoil surrounding the EU referendum here in the UK last week, I was fortunate to spend a few days up in Scotland continuing my series of large format landscapes.

This time The Upper Tay Valley in and around Crianlarich….

With 04.30 sunrise and sunset at 22.30, they were long days. Thanks to the good folk at the Crianlarich Hotel who looked after me with my odd time keeping!

A pint of the Colonsay Brewery IPA was a welcome treat at the end of the day…

One from the archive….Polaroid Type 55

Just came across this in the studio from an old polaroid Type 55 neg. (fantastic film and much missed) Shot on a Sinar ‘Norma’ 5×4 believe it not – really a studio camera but I used to take it on the road sometimes…..

Scouse wit with roadsigns…..

Limewood Hotel

Glad to see that Limewood Hotel in the New Forest has won another major award at the Mr & Mrs Smith Awards in London last night. Sumptuous rooms with some (ahem) lovely photographs on the walls.

from an ongoing series of large format work on trees…..

New artworks for London Offices

Just completed a series of night-time shots of London for the offices of a leading private equity firm. The pictures are all of specific areas of London as briefed by the client and I chose to shoot them all at night – during a very cold snap in January!

Beautiful large format Lambda prints mounted on aluminium sheet made by Steve at Genesis Imaging in Fulham.

Here’s a few of them….
